If you’d asked me 10 minutes ago, 10 days ago, 5 years ago, ‘What is the one thing you want to do before you die?’ I would have told you my greatest dream is to one day take a hot air balloon through the Grand Canyon.

That all changed when I saw this video, via Rob Cunningham on FB. My greatest dream is now to fly a jet pack through the Grand Canyon - with my Powderstar family.

Kiki, Gian, Tom, Melissa and Toby: This one’s for you.

This gal lived the hobo life, hopping trains across the US and Canada, and then she made a zine about it…

Nearly ten years of freight hopping field recordings and rail songs I made while riding trains across the USA and Canada, dubbed off of old mini-disc tapes and Zoom H2 flash sticks, and lovingly collected on one limited edition CD. The audio veers between spooky post-industrial ambiance and death metal. Ear plugs not included.
The fanzine includes 72 pages of train hopping stories interspersed with journal entries, retrospective flashbacks, photo fold-outs and vintage train maps. Stories about my first ride alone, journeys across the not-so-wild west, and what happens when you have $700 stuffed in your pants and you are tired and alone in the middle of Montana.
